HI , friend of mine just bought a used xb8. he si coming from a 777. I didn't have much time to check it out but I put mike dana's set up on it. ( I didn't check the shocks or difs) his comment was it had a "ton of steering" but it is twichy coming out of turns.he said the rear end wasn't locked down to the track like his 777. I thought in his race he must of been hungry cause he kept doing doughnuts coming out of the turns:-) so which set up should i start him out with? med semi bumpy track with either hard dusty or just watered good bite |

id say start with the diffs, get 555 in there so you know whats going on... i can tell when my rear gets low on fluid, the rear isnt stuck on power. rear camber links inside top hole, good rear side bite. |

OK his links were inside bottom hole if I remember. this is good cause I can put the same set up on both cars and only change one thing and then drive both cars back to back and maybe learn something >LOL! after taking this poor buggy apart it has clearly been on the no maintenance plan! rear dif empty with dif cups seized in the housings. too be continued tomorrow.... |

HEy Slim the outdoor track is kind of similar to the one I have been running lately. Its maybe a little bigger (mine). But I just love those indoor tracks. They stay so well groomed from avoiding weather. We have a similar one on Long Island but they wont let 8th scale run on it. Afraid we'll tear it up. Pussys! |
