Luke is totally right with the lid slap, a pressure chamber will help that. You can use a fuel filter and just take out the mesh as you mentioned, I use a Mugen pressure chamber but it doesn't matter. I also run a long pressure line for this as well, close to 10 inches (254 mm) on Novarossi engines. Try the other suggestions first before adding a pressure chamber, the pressure chamber is more of a bandaid, as is the hotter plug but more so. When I say bandaid, I mean it masks another problem else where. |

Just wanted to follow up and thank you guys for all the help. I basically followed all of your suggestions and put in a new hotter plug, bought a fresh gallon a fuel, added a Mugen pressure chamber, and longer pressure line. I also leaned the low end and mid range out a little. I'm not sure which change fixed the problem because I did all of it before I hit the track but the end result was absolutely no cutouts and a 1st place finish in the A Main! I had a blast. Nitro is always more fun when the engine is running perfect and this time I had that baby straight galloping in the infield and singing down the straight. Thanks again for the help guys. |
