Those posts you read were form before the price increase. A couple months back all of Xray products had a price increase. I got my first kit for 629.99. My second recent kit was around 710 dollars shipped (this was after the increase) And that was after shopping around. The kits are now on a average of about 710 to 740 dollars. If you found a kit for 679.00 I would buy it. Becuase that is a good price for after the increase. This price raise is old news now. And Xray posted news about why there was an increase. The prices were heafty out of the gate but now are rounding off at all shops. Most XB owners have now adapted to the change. If you want good quality and good customer support you will have to make the sacrifice. For your answer on why the Xray E-shop is expensive. This is not ridiculous. Xray made it clear to buy there products from hobby shops. The E shop point of creation was for poeples last resorts on not being able to find parts. They made that statement loud and clear when they opened the shop. They said there prices would be retail, as they are not trying to compete with local shops. They would be steppong on there own toes. Its just the way buisness works. If Xray sells there own products cheaper than there customers it will eventually put them out of buisness in local shops. As poeople would not shop in hobby stores for there priducts any more, they would just buy direct from Xray. I can only expect that the Xray shop prices be the way they are. It is a smart buisness move on there part if they want hobby shops to keep doing buisness with them. Try to understand from there point. lol Here is the link from the president of Xray products. This will give you the expanation you are looking for. http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/news/n ... egoria=456 |

thanks for the reply, Giorgi50. I thought I was getting screwed by Xray or something (sorry xray) but I guess it makes sense now. |

m18racer2003 > you may want to wait for the brand new XB8R which is going to be available for $499 without VAT. It is definitely the best value vs price vs performance vs quality combo you can ever get. I strongly suggest to pre-order yours through your local hobby store or contact xray@rcamerica.com to find out where to purchase XRAY products locally. |
