Hello, recently i've upgraded my XT8 '09 with the Active Diff. During the last ride on the track i noticed a grinding/ snapping noise while braking hard - similiar to diff gears snapping over. So my question is, is the Active Diff, because of the function principle, prone to snapping over on the inner gears, or did i miss a detail while shiming the diff? Greetings |

As far as I understand the AD should be free under braking. Have you opened and inspected yet? That's the first thing I would do instead of asking the internet.  BTW check your XT8 gearboxes for proper bearing seat of the diff bearings. Some of them had a rather loose seat, the bearing would move forward and back a bit, and they had to be filed down. |
