Hi all, I'm new here and will get an XB9 2013 spec once released. However, I'm still not sure which engine I should buy. Which one of the below would you choose ? RB BXR BUGGY XTREM RACING (http://www.rbproducts.com/mainEn.php...ages/01012-BXR) oder PIC9563 BOOST .21 5TR 2012 SPEC (http://www.teampicco.com/index.php?o...233&Itemid=522 Of cource any other suggestions/ recommendations are more than welcome. Many thanks in advance guys Stephan |

Of those two I would go with the RB BXR for one reason only. The exhaust port on Picco race .21's blocks are angled slightly downward which means you should use only Picco headers. Have alook at this pic I nicked from A Main: picco boost 2013.JPG [ 31.89 KiB | Viewed 5892 times ] That is unless you are willing to bend an existing header to fit which really is no biggie. RB blocks have a 'standard' exhaust port which is parallel with the crankshaft centre line which means a much wider range of pipes will fit. Power-wise, both engines are BANDITS! And both are high quality engines. But the Picco's exhaust angle is something one should be aware of when looking at these engines. Regards, Speed Metal |

Hi Thanks a lot to both of you. @ speed metal, you pointed out something I didn't know, cheers for that, I'll go with the RB BXR. now let's hope they release the XB9 2013 spec soon. My dealer told me it could take another 6-8 weeks (in Switzerland) ![]() |

i personally like Orion motors.. came from sirio, and RB.. also ran Novarossi engines.. the Orions were the easiest to tune, and tons of power |

Are those two the only engines you can imagin running on your XB9? Because spare parts such as conrods, piston pins and so on are exorbitantly more expensive on RB and Orion engines than on other top notch brands. Almost twice as expensive on the Orion and not much less on the RB. I would suggest you to select your engine brand by quality AND conrod price. If you say it doesn't matter then opting for a RB or an Orion is ok, of course. When wishing for an Orion, Sirio is at least the same great engine with half the price and follow up costs! |

Thanks for the recommendations. I checked out a few places, then went for a slightly bigger stand from Northern Tool. The Harbor Freight 4 wheel unit looked good, but I went with something that looks like it stands a little wider. Looking forward to messing with my 195.6. Might go pick up the Harbor Freight unit as I also have a 232, and I don't want to just stick it on a pallet. |
