Hello guys in my past race while I was running my car i noticed that it started to rev by itself a couple times. After asking some people at the track they told me to check my clutch. When I did I discovered that the outer bearing was broken. Would this be the cause for the problem? If not whatr would? |

The engine I run is the Rb rt 10 which is a 4.6 racing engine. I was no the one who tuned the engine though it was my hobby shop who tuned it perfectly. The engine was running fine it had a great deal of power although sometimes as I would leave the throtle and let the car move without breaks it would rev up all my itself. When I asked people said it was either my clutch or something was not adjusted correctly in my throtle setup. |

I checked it and it closes fully. |

What could be is that the damage on the clutch bearing was caused by a loosen flywheel. In this case the flywheel would move forward, the engine has less load until engaging and this would make it rev high(er) off throttle with the car in motion. Once moving, it eliminates the bell play totally, the engine "engages" and the rpm goes down again (or the engine even stalls). |

No I disassembled the clutch and found that the Flywheel was tightly secured. |

It's hard to solve these problems over the net. Maybe some local racers can help you. There is huge knowledge around on tracks and racers are normally very helpful. |
