Post subject: | xb9 body on the xb808e?! |
hello everybody, my name is bryan and I have a xray 808e. Now the motor hits the body the hole time. I saw that the xb9 body is straight and the motor in my xray then can't hit the body. can I put the body of the xb9 on my xb808e? greetz bryan edit: sorry I saw that I made 2 topics about the same thing. sorry for that. |

honestly.. most nitro bodies dont fit E buggy bodies, due to the batteries. i converted an XB9, to an XB9e, and the front of the body is too low slunch to go over the battery. have you tried prolines new E-buggy body? i use it on my XB9, its a little wider than the side pods, but when you put velcro in there.. it fits nice. |

The best handling body for the 808E is the J Concepts Finnisher for the Mugen 6R (nitro). Leave an extra 1/8" under the trim line on the sidepods, open up the rear some. Use Velcro to mount, I no longer use body mounts for electric cars. You'll have to custom trim the body and the sidepods will flare out just a hair. The Xb9 body is tiny and will not fit the wider 808. |

so when I go for the Jconcepts body (MBX6R), I don't have to cut anything about the body?? believe me, I can destroy everything included when I don't want to |

what can I do with the body or with the car that the motor doesn't hit the car?? I thought aluminium chassis supports. |

the car has alot of flex.. i would suggest that you put screws back into the side guards to stiffen up the chassis some. also having a little bit bigger hole around the engine head will help with this as well.. |

Grind down the side panel lock nut with a dremel, so it deosn't hit the motor when the chassis flex's. And case jumps less. |
