So will there ever be any updates to the XT8? I have a 2009 spec that I have been running since 2009. It has served me well and I really loved the car. However, it is very long in the tooth and needs replacing for this years summer race season, but I'm having a hard time justifying spending the money on a brand new kit that is 3-4 model years old. Just wondering. I thought since the buggy got the major overhaul to the XB9 I thought maybe the truggy would get some attention as well. I looked thru the forum here but don't see any info on any updates coming. I assume this means there is nothing in the works....... |

I'd be willing to bet they're working furiously on prototypes right now. If not already, very soon. The buggy platform is the best it has ever been so it would now make sense to make the update to the truggy which still has it's DNA lifted from the original XB8. The current XT8 is awesome, but an XT9 would be the best truggy out there IMHO. That's what I'm banking on anyways . I resisted buying a new truggy this year because I think we're one or two years away from the XT9 (which I want ohhhh so bad!!!!!!) It'll be worth the wait!! Regards, speed metal |

If you would ask me I would say that for companies that "sold their souls to China" it's not really a problem to overfloat the market with the most weird car "classes" like the seesnake brand i.e. is doing. All really new truggies are the CobraT and the 408T, so from companies that don't have had truggies so far. I bet there won't come new truggies from these two in the near future as well. If you want: Make one to have one for these two. For smaller companies that "stay true" it's already quite tough to concentrate on serious improvements on the important (prestigious) classes I think. ... But I would buy a XT9, too. ... |

Heres my XT9 Conversion still using the old arms and steering knuckles. I figured out how to fit the new gear on but the 808/XB9 axles dont have enough steering lock for a truggy |

If Xray would update the XT8, I'd probably start running truggy again. I haven't seen anything indicating that they are doing any development on it though as truggy seems to be a dying class. |
