Back to this thread again...
Now I saw the sense of the new engine mount, its so that due to higher stiffness of the front and the rear of the chassis, you have to put the new engine mount, cause all the flex would otherwise go to the middle (as you said, XRAY)
in this thread there was a discussion, which is better, and Mario, you didnt take the one side or the other - so out of that statement (new engine mount) do I see it right, that XRAY is assuming the stiff chassis to be the better solution?
Thanks
Mikeobello

Some ThunderTiger drivers bought / cut off that "3D part" of the chassis to make it softer (= more forgiving).

So maybe too stiff is bad and also soft in wrong places is bad. Soft in right and stiff in right place...

The crono rs03 chassi is very flexible, and it dosen`t have any braces at all. Looking at the results of the car, it seems to me it`s doing very good in all types of conditions...

Again, the chassis flex depends only on the racing conditions. In some racing conditions you need ultra stiff chassis, in some racing conditions you need flexible chassis. The chassis flex depends also on your racing skills and style, for example Yannick has been using NO rear brace which suits to his racing style.
XRAY provides a complet solution for any racing condition. You can have stiff car (alu front and rear brace + adjustable engine mount), or the flexi (torque front rod or composite XB8R front and rear braces) or you can just remove the braces in the most extreme cases.

We should get back with some tech articles on chassis flex soon.

I supose flexibility is needed at bumpy tracks while rigidness is needed at smooth high speed tracks?

A tech article on chassis flex would be very interesting.. :!:

The car has to have a little flex built into it or the car becomes undriveable. Just ask any of the TTR S3 team drivers. They dumped the rigid "box" chassis and had Titan Tech machine a flat chassis for the buggy.
