that s an eledis switch simple and good. The direct connection is good too but if you have to start your car fast it s very likely to damage the connection (maybe with dirt)

also i've heard the Heavy duty switches that the helicopter boys use are supposed to be pretty good

they dont want to lose radio do they

ive never had a prob w/ the simple JR switch and ive used them on every car ive owned? on=power off=off how hard is it?????????????

We use std Futaba connector and have no problems. If you race a lot you could change it every 4 months or so to be on the safe side. We also use HongNor silicone cover (very simmilar to the one that is included in the Xray #356050 on/off set).

another tip is to unplug your battery from the switch when you are done for the day. Leaving the battery hooked up to the switch( even in the off position) will eventually cause "black wire disease"
I had one car stored all winter with no battery in it and the other with a battery and the one with the battery had the wires and switch go bad.
would this be caused electrolysis or something?

the only thing about the ko-propo switch, is that it drains the battery, even thought it is in the off position, i've accidentaly left a battery pack that was mostly charged in my XB8 overnight, and the next day it was DEAD. i didn't even need to dis-charge it. I always make sure i put in a fresh reciever pack before the main, just in case.

normally i can practice on one reciever pack, all day, but with the propo switch, i gotta change it mid- practice.

Here in Sweden allmost every topdrivers uses the switch with a pig tail with great success and no probz, but I can see you point there.
