The xb8 and 808 uses different diff setups, bulkheads, pinions, bearings and driveshafts you just need to buy a xb8 bulkhead |

Thanks ,Ok i read on this site that if a'n xb8ec is fitted with a 808 09 spec diff with the 2 ally bearing collars it is bullet proof, that's what i am aiming for . I have purchased the 09 spec bulkhead and the bearing collars but my xb8ec front drive shaft(for the diff) is to short for the collars and bearings so do i need the 09 spec drive shaft? to make this work |

I think you are confused. The XB8ec diffs are already bullet proof. The question of durability on the diff pinion gears was n the XB808 diffs. Just use the stock XB8 bulk heads on your XB8ec and you are good to go. No need to mod this. BTW: the 2011 XB808 has gone back to the similar design bulk head and diff bearings as the XB8ec. |
