with the 808E would thicker rear dif oil help the car rotate for a set of slow 180 degree turns?
or what dif oil combo would be best for such a situation? like 5 feet in between each 180 turn with a 5 foot wide lane.

It might help by loosening the rear up a bit, certainly worth a try.
We also have a lot of tight corners. What may also help you: More weight to the front by moving the a-arms back, shorter rear upper link, 41T overdrive in front (loosens the rear when coasting into turns) and a thicker anti-roll bar in the rear.

If you are talking about on power yes, a thicker rear oil will help the car slide more when you apply the throttle.

If you are looking for more entry and mid corner rotation a lighter oil will be better as it tends to rotate easier, the car will feel less locked in in the rear end.

I personally start with 2000 and go from there.

Diff oils are tricky in the rear. A light rear diff (2,000) will allow the car to rotate around the corners and will have a looser feel. When you go thicker (5,000) it will make the rear end feel more planted but not rotate as well. However if you go too thick it will work opposite. For example if you go to 7,000 or 10,000 in rear it will make the rear end feel loose on power.

This is probably contrary to some peoples belief but I have done a lot of testing and this is what I have found.

I always stick with 3,000 or 5,000 in rear diff. Sometimes I go to 2,000 if weather is cold.

Another thing to try for making rear end rotate is to shorten rear camber link.

That's been my experience with diffs as well.

I like to keep my rear camber link short and low, maybe raise the front camber link up on the tower for slow 180 turns. Light diff fluids. Try swapping rear springs up a step or two up in stiffness.

Rear springs have been something I've changed back and forth every raceday. My car seems to really resond to that at my tracks.

the biggest thing i found with the new car is lighter oil works better my 2010 gas converted loved 5-7k tried it on the new car made it very loose onpower try 3k oil and aka super soft tires

the 808e is a hand full try losi or AE 2000 diff oil .. thick will have less diff action thus making the car loose/rotate but hard to drive i feel it likes more diff action/thin oil 1 thing i havent tried is light oil n the frt diff Ill try this week n c...
