It was quite disappointing to see no 808 made it to the Final, I am sure all XRAY drivers did their best. Congrates to all of them for their hardwork!

That said, are there ways to improve the 808 further??

Yep wheeler and the guys did a great job, I would like to see more drivers from Xray seams like off road is on the back burner sometimes....I think we only have one real team driver in Australia..... Imagine if we had a few more young guns from Australia giving it to the rest of the world with an Xray........

While winning the event is always our goal, we were pleased to see strong performances from several XRAY drivers. Josh and Teemu were both strong in qualifying, and Josh was in a bump up spot to get to the finals before he flamed out. The early feedback from Josh was that grip came up quite a bit for the semi, and everyone lost alot of mileage. Guys that were usually going 8:30-9:00 minutes were running out by 7:15-7:30. That is what got Josh at the 15min mark. I guess alot of the drivers in the second semi cut their fuel strategy by a couple minutes after witnessing the difficulties the first semi experienced.

Considering Josh was running against guys that had spent 1 or 2 weeks on the track for the warm up and other practice races, he was up to speed quick and ran well through out the week. Not bad for only 4 10 minute practice runs before qualifying!!

The new option pieces worked well and Josh used both the inclined steering block and new aluminum hubs with vertical camber link position. The week was certainly a good evaluation of the car and Josh's times showed the 808 is still a strong performer against the other 'newer' chassis out there. Even though XRAY may not field the largest team of drivers, they are still dedicated to the off-road market. Juraj and Martin were both at the race and they are constantly looking for ways to improve the cars. Feedback from our racers and customers will continue to drive the development as it has so far, and I don't expect that to slow down any time soon.

Drivers aside, what were the things that went right and wrong for the 808?

The newer crop of buggies looked really nice, I can't wait to see what XRAY will bring to the table next year... :D
