Why bother releasing the new 808E electric still with the same problem diffs. I just don't understand. I was so keen to get one but now, no way. I have enough trouble looking after my nitro buggy problem diffs to be worrying about 2 more. Silly decision I believe on xrays part. ![]() ![]() |

Once you get the hang of maintenance and shimming them they hold up well. It took me a while to get the feel of proper mesh, but I've gone 5 race weekends without servicing my pinion bearings. I've been really busy. But I can't get the 41t active diff gear to work at all anymore. Mesh is gritty and ineffecient. Actually cooked my battery durainf a main with the 41t even though it feels free, it didn't stay that way. Half way into the main I picked up a ton of steering from the front binding up, then my battery burst into flames. But with 43t active diff or standard I'm golden. I do think I had to shim the pinion out 1 shim to reduce play, and shim the ring in one shim. |
