XRAY - Model racing cars

I've got a Xray 808-E. I picked up a couple of new bodies for it off ebay, pre-painted and trimmed. The only problem I'm having is that it hits the corner of my battery. Is there a taller front body post that can raise the front of the body 1/4 inch or so? Or should I try and shim the one that's there now, something like ? If I shim it will I need a new screw?

I shim or increase the front body post height on my nitro 808 to get more clearance for exhaust. I just use the hub spacers & raise the post 4mm 1/4", makes the body last longer. Just remember to leave more material on the body & not follow the cut lines.
