Hi Jerome, i hope everything is fine with you! One question i've got for you, what is your base setup ? What kind of special or different treatment do you give to your bulkhead diff bearings? |

Hi Jerome, Thanks for starting such a topic. I have 2 question´s: How do you prepare yourself and your car for a track where you have never been before? Are you using any special procedure to find the correct/suitable balance (roll centre etc.) for the track? Thanks Benni |

Post subject: | Diff oil viscosity Set Up ? |
Bonjour Jerome, Good to be able to ask tips to, lets be honest, the best/fastest French Xray driver! ![]() I've been following your different car set-up since you drive the 808 and tell me if i'm wrong but it seems that you've been using high viscosity oils in your diffs for the past years (around 7000-10.000 maybe sometime even more) and more recently it seems that you've been using lower viscosity oils (around 2000-4000). Is there any particular reasons for that ? Change of driving style ? Evolution of the 808 to 810? Etc... ? Could you tell what are the differences in the behavior of your car made by switching from higher to lower viscosity diffs oils? Also could you tell me what is your base/recommanded set-up to start with on : - High grip Dirt track (hard packed, blue groove)? - Low grip Dirt track (dusty) ? Thank you for your time and i wish you all the best for the forthcoming rounds of the French Nationals. Best Regards. Matthieu |
