Yep we run them on the 808 and xt8 all the time and yes they do help. DE racing make a front and rear and concidering they are plastic they seam to last quiet a while. well worth the $12 bux....

I'm using a DE Racing also, they last for about 2 or 3 race day before I replace them.

I didn't get on with the DE skid plates on my 808 - the front one acts like a plough in muddy conditions and fills up with mud and crud which adds a lot of weight to the front end. The rear can unbalance the car on a bumpy track, or one with big jumps, making it inconsistent on take off. Given that the rest of the chassis takes a pounding (and on the front the biggest wear area is where the chassis kick up changes) in any case I just treat the whole chassis as an annual consumable.

I've run DE plates on my truggy in the past without major issues, but just didn't like what they did with the lower buggy ride heights.

hey ronaldo808,

im using the DE set aswell I got them from JeSpares I think.
There great I have gotten a year from just 1 on the back and 1 on the front! it still has prolly another months worth of racing!
Some of the guys have higher wear rates depending on track surface and setup.
I run on worn grass clay very bumpy.
Well worth the few quid!

I use the DE plates & sometimes the Xtreame ali rear plate & love them. How many rocks you have in your tracks will usually determine the life of the rear plastic ones & I round the fronts with a dremel. May sound like a lot of work but I run a soft setup & the dirt gets real mean at times.

DE Racing plates :!: I run them on local races and all the trainings. For bigger races just remove them and save few gramms also.

Overall they are nice and I like the DE Racing front bumper also which protects the nose better. But it is bigger and has sharp corners which might touch the ground on landings so the original is better in that matter.
