Hello everyone. I have had my 808 2010 for about 3 months now. It is an awesome car, and I am just about settled on a good setup for me at our dusty clay tracks in S. Florida. I raced a Losi 2.0 buggy for 2 years before the change to Xray and always used the steel flywheel to reduce the wheelspin on acceleration. I am looking for a steel 3 shoe flywheel and I don't see that Xray makes one. Does anyone know what flywheel will work, or is the aftermarket the only option? Thanks Jeremy Slattery |

I recently purchase the aftermarket ascendancy steel clutch from Amainhobbies. Seems to be working. Hopes that helps. Cheers |

Does the Ascendancy flywheel use the standard clutch shoes and springs, or will I have to buy shoes specifically for that clutch? I ask because I have quite a few sets of shoes and springs already. Thanks again. |

Its an aftermarket clutch complete with its own shoes... so yes unfortunately I do not think your existing shoes will work. This is the only steel flywheel I have found, I run a RB B9 and find that this clutch balances the power nicely and the shoes are lasting nicely. Doesn't mean there isn't a steel flywheel by Xray, I am not aware of one, maybe a team driver can step in here and answer that one. Cheers |

Try Answer RC USA. I think they have one that uses standard clutch shoes. EA |
