hi to all,fairly new to the buggy scene,getting ready for my 808 2010 buggy to arrive,just wondering will my hyper 21 8 port pull start engine from my soon to be retired hyper pbs fit in or will i have to remove the pull start?havent got the kit yet so just trying to get all the bits necessary to get it running as soon as i can and not be stuck with an engine less buggy!!!!! any advice would be greatly appreciated.. |

Welcome to the board! A pull-start engine will not fit. I'm not sure whether raising it up will help or if the pull start gets in the way of the engine mounts even if you can raise it. If you can convert the engine to non P/S then do it. It will seal better, have more power and the ease of use of a starter box is obvious once you have one. It's one of those items where you have to "force" beginners to their luck but once you have it you'll wonder what you did without. A Hyper 8 port was my first buggy engine about 7 years ago, amazing that they're still around. |
