hi all just done my first meet with my new 808 2010 spec and wow what a car love it the last one i drove was the xb8tq

just a couple of questions on the setup
the track ive just raced on is astro and tight and very grippy like your on carpet a new set of yellow mini pins v2 rims with 3 rows outside and 1 row inside i still grip roll and silver mini pins dont last the day there so

1,would a harder incert help? as i have the std greys they come with

2,is there anything i can do on the setup?

ps, we can only use mini pins and spirals for the series

thanx jase

HI

my setup is from the manual but have the grey/blue springs at the front

i dont have any option parts as yet

the faster guys are using yellow mini pins but with only 3 or 4 rows of pins in the middle and they are very warn down and still grip roll alittle on the edge

will the moluded inset stop me from grip rolling?

diffs- 5/5/2
shocks- F 600cst 1.3 - R 350cst 1.5
caster- 20
camber- F -2 R -3
kick up- 10
anti squat- 2
toe- F +1 R -3
shock mouting pos- all top number 2 hole

Hi here in Holland we drive astro turf too. Most of the time i run minipin yellow but cuted the 2 inner rows (you cut 1). And the caster switch it to 14 deg. (you write 20 but what you mean is 10 plus the 10 kickup of the chassis plate) it makes the car more ease to drive.

If the car flips over also with this changes then i prefer to make the front diff harder up to 7000 or maybe 10.000. You lost a few steering in but you win lots of traction.
I hope this will help you.

Like Jorg said heavier front & centre diffs to 7 or 10k will add stability & slow rotation down a bit by being less aggresive. Stiffer roll bars again will help. Just depends on conditions & track layout
Front shocks move to bottom middle hole on the tower & outer hole on the wishbone. This will add stability & stop the front collapsing mid turn.
Rear leave middle top on tower & inner on wishbone.

For shocks in the UK in holes ive shown F 1.4 450cst & R 1.5 600cst . Grey springs will be fine, if you have plenty of jumps change to silver, as it jumps better on a grippy track.

Tyre inserts when its dry use a stiff insert like the PL blue. It can produce more grip but its consistent & you can drive to it, where the std grey foam rolls around & snatches.
