I am using the Joor standard setup on a high traction clay track that is very tight ans technical, I need more steering and traction, I was going to try the the lowest setting on front roll center and shortest wheelbase setting and maybe the most rearward ackerman setting. What do you think of these adjustments and do you have any suggestions?????????? |

i was fighting the steering also and i finally got it hooked up. i turned the escentric bushings so the 2 dots are facing down in the front. and it helped a bunch? just make sure it dont bind i got my top arms as far forward as i can w/ out them binding. and i turned the front in board toe ( the #1's) to the outside instead of to the middle. all of this changes the angle of the c-hub dramaticly. just try it? what works for 1 guy might not for the next. im one to always try new stuff and these are 2 things most people are not doing and it hooked me up big time! slim drove my car and he couldnt believe the diff it made. |

Are you saying that you made the caster angle 13 degree and the front toe at 2 degrees? |

David, thanks for the response, I will try your suggestions. Also do you think any of these things will help ? 1: going up to 1 degree on front inboard toe (seems to be increasing outboard toe, I do not quite understand this?) 2:stiffer springs in rear 3:Ackermann position mounted to rear 4:go from 5,7,3 to 3,7,1 in diffs? I have raced 3 times now and I am having a real hard time getting the XB8 around this track easily, The biggest problem is when in tight 180 corners I am pushing alot when I am On-Power. |

The only that you listed that will help you coming out of the turn is stiff springs. You need heavy front oil in the front diff to all for more on-power steering. Slim is right, you probably have too much weight transfer, limit the droop all around, but the front will be the most noticable, if you limit it to about 22mm you will get a responsive car left to right and will have more steering on exit but have slightly less steering entering the corner. The ackermann back will give you more steering into the corner and so will toe out in the front. The inboard toe will give more steering all across the board so that maybe a good adjustment for you. If you can, try to specify where you need more steering entering, middle, exit because most adjustments give you one and take away another. |
