I'm really happy with my ST-R but yesterday I bought my 3rd Xray Kit, the great tiny M18T.
I was impressed of the quality of the Xray parts - once again. I think i would sell my Kyosho for the new Xray Truggy (XT8 ?)

When is the estimated release date?

Hi,

Converting a buggy to a true truggy requires lots of new parts. Such as Diff Ring/Bevel Gears, lower arms, drive shafts, main chassis, fuel tank, damper stays, rear wing, body, upper arms, rims and tires...

I guess only 15% of buggy parts will remain. Unless Xray offers sth like the X1-CRT with super large spur gear and a raised throttle servo. This could only save another 5% from diff ring/bevel gears.

This is totally another investment for Xray and us, players. Not as easy as just conversion kit. But the truggy market is growing fast, I am voting for this new XT8 kit.

I just bought another XB8. I have a gs sut to rape parts off and am building a short wheelbase truggy with it. at worst I have a parts car when the new xray truggy comes out. too good of a deal to pass up for a brand new buggy, rb 728 and a z-1 radio with spektrum. my dx3 ran out of models lol

swb truggies are fun, and the local track is pretty tight. need an xray running against all those jammin's

ya I have seen the team helotes. local guy was running one and offered to sell it to me cheap. one thing I like about using the short version is I can use the same starter box for both. my pitman smokes a lot of longbottom leaf, so I like to make life easy for him (I even time my own pits lol).

I will get the xray truggy when it comes out, the th conversion has a longer chassis but still uses axle extenders. I would buy the tomahawk arms if they made a set (I should write him, had those on the sut ce) but only a couple races left this year, so I will play with this one, then I'll have a lot of buggy parts for next season and a good powerplant and such to drop in the truggy.

bottom line, I have an sut sitting here, but now I can run an xray the same length. I feel a lot more confident running the xb8t than the gs. it's an original xb8 with the black anno stuff (no slot for the lowered motor mount... good, less chance of flex then

)... I know I will have fun and make a few jammin drivers mad this little thing beat them
