XRAY - Model racing cars

Xray whites are soft, light blue is medium, dark blue is hard.

I believe the Mugen Grey's are medium's as well. They have one more coil than the Xray springs.

Anyone have any trouble bouncing around with the Icebreaker set up? I'm not 100% on with it, but very close. The back end feels very bouncy and the car is less stable. I'm running on a smooth indoor clay track. Would going back to 4 degrees of kick-up help?

The only difference in my set up is that I am running light blue springs all around, wheelbase is in the middle, 4 preload spacer in the front and 5 in the rear (arms are SLIGHTLY above level). and i'm running 3 degrees of camber up front and 4 in the rear. 2 degrees toe out in the front and 3 degrees of toe-in for the rear.

shock oil is 40-35 with 1.4 and 1.5's.

JohnB - The kickup could help by absorbing some of the action before it gets sent to the rear but you probably need to adjust the oil. I am not familiar with running anything but the Xray oil, so can you explain your bounce to me? If it looks like the back is too stiff when acclerating you could take out some anti-squat or lighten the rear oil and raise the rear ride height at the same time to keep it from slapping. Mugen springs will absorb more bumps at the cost of corner speed compared to Xray springs as well.

this is not set in stone, but what i came up with from reading these forums. nateb had a post on here a while back about springs, and i got a lot of info from him. the order is different between the front and rear.[/code]

great thanks alot David. I'm currently running 4-5-3 in my differentials. I will try raising my ride height a little bit and playing with the anti-squat.
