I really hope this trend takes off.....Indoor 1/8 scale could be the perfect winter time fix!

Whats the maximum amount of runtime you can get with those high capacity lipo's?

Are you guys using the alarm system from Appogee for low voltage signals? They make a nice load siren alarm system that is the size of a quarter so you know when you'r low and need to pull it off the track. Its like 30.00.

Does the brushless motor put out much more torque/top end?
How much does the total system cost including the lipo's?
How does the car handle with the weight difference?

I just might like my electric xb8 better than my gas one.
i put my reciever in a rpm battery box in front of the battery after this pick. ( found a water puddle) and have speed control up high for safty.

I think that's a great idea. The BEC in the MM isn't all that great and won't send the 6v to the servo like the Castle BEC will. That will make a huge difference. Definitely worth the investment IMO. What voltage of batteries are you running in your setup?

I am running 11.1v batterys so it is not to much voltage for the esc so there is no overheating or anything but I just dont seem to be getting sufficient voltage out of it, I am using a JR9000T for my servo and there is no way it is at .15s but I realy just want my transponder to work, its hard to win races when it wont pick up, hopefully my transponder is still good though and this solves it

I see - you're right, at the 11.1v you're fine. I was running my MM on 4s and needed a BEC. But I will say the improvement the BEC allowed for my servo was incredible. On 6v, there is quite a difference in performance. Even if your transponder is bad, the BEC will be a very nice enhancement for other areas. I would highly recommend it.

For my conversion I bought a Ultimate BEC, it is hooked to your main battery and powers the radio.

Castle BEC's are great, and can be programmed up to 9v. I have 2 (one for my rock crawler and one for my eXT8) and have them run at 6.2v for my servos. Really brings my hitec 5955 alive!
