My VSPEC ruined?

the v- spec is a two gallon motor that gets 10 minute run times so it is more like a 3 gallon motor........i have owned 4 of these motors and the only one that is worth anything (as far as a good reliable motor) is the one that i have not broke in yet........not to bash the v-spec but it does not last,fast as hell but does not last.
at my local track i have seen so many of them die and piss so many people off. front bearings rear bearings carb leaky button etc etc.

i got a stock spec with 2 gallons on it that flames out all the time
i got a another stock spec that has 3 gallons on it after new bearings installed at 2 gallons..it junk again
then i was totally stupid and bought the jp mod version(fst motor that i have ever driven)dead before two gallons on it. i raced it at two races before round one widwest and it screwed me there big time

if some one is willing to come to my shop and teach me how to tune one of these motors i would be most thank full

i agree with the pinch thing behind this motor cause it goes away after break in-

i would love to run this motor, every sucker including myself at my local track run p5........................

can't explain how much of a motor the jp spec is when it ran
so ffffing fast

I got a question...........

my problem with the motor is it cuts out in th straight away
just quits
fires right back up

Desdad, what fuel are you running?

I had a similar problem at one time and figured out that it was the air filter was clogged up with oil and dirty. I was washing my filters with soap and water but that does not clean the really tacky oils all that well.

Replace or clean your filters often and use one of those nitro cleaners if you decide to clean them.

Once the engine could breath better on the straights, it was screaming. The VSPEC gets up to some extreme RPMs that require lots of air on the straights so the issue is more pronounced compared to inferior engines. :lol:

Wonder if any of the Novarossi carbs would fit the Vspec? or maybe one of the Nova/RB carbs.

After reading all this and messing with my buddys Vspec it would seem that the OS carb is finiky.
