XRAY - Model racing cars

I am having a heck of a time lining my chrome top with TKO plate using Werks clutches. I have shimmed the motor, but unless I have it on there just absolutely perfect it still wants to hit the chassis. I love the werks clutch, but this kinda sucks. Anyone know how you can get extra lineup pins for the starters?

I have the Chrome top, TKO plate, and just installed the Werks Clutch and everything lines up perfect on mine. I have the plate lined up dead center of the top of the box and I aligned the motor in the box so the starter wheel is dead center as well. Set it up like that and you are guaranteed to be perfect.

Mine lined up fine, no shimming of the starter motor. Just lined up the opening of the s-plate with the starter wheel, squared it on the chrome lid. then used some strapping tape to hold it in place while I marked where the sheet metal screws should go, drilled a couple holes in the thick portion of the plate,,done deal.

Sure makes it nice, no more messing with the cheap ofna pin thingys

Oh and I used a couple of big pieces of some heavy duty industrial strength velcro that I found at Walmart and it holds the TKO plate down solid.
