It seems like every company aside from Xray is poppin out with a truggy. It's seriously very tempting to jump ship but then again like alot of us using this forum, I'm Xray for life. So the question now is . . . where's our truggy Mr. Hudy?

It is taking too long. I've already bought a Jammin CRT to race in the Florida State Off Road series this season. I wanted an XRay truck but wasn't willing to miss an entire season of Unlimited racing to get it. The ironic part is that I'm doing better with the truck than I am with the buggy. Yet here I am asking for an Xray truck to go with my buggy. Mario please look at a Jammin buggy next to a Jammin truggy. Only the arms, center diff block, shock towers, turnbuckles, universals, fuel tank, radio support plate, chassis and braces are very different from the buggy. My CRT has the same gear cases, wing mount, diffs (bigger center spur), engine mount, steering knuckles, rear uprights, rod ends, and sway bars, caster block, toe plate, and antisquat plate among other things. My point is that a lot of the existing car could be and should be reused. Stretch the chassis, widen the arms, make a new center diff block, redo the radio plate and let us have it already. The 1/18th scale stuff is cute but that isn't what we race here in the States. My CRT is heavy even after I put Titanium parts all over it. It isn't super adjustable and it doesn't look trick. What it does do is work. If I had a lighter more adjustable XRay truck I'm sure I could produce even better results. |

I know that for next season I will be racing truggy, and I am just about ready to just get one this year to get a head start. I am looking at the Helotes version atm and knowing I should just wait, but I *** :-) *** at waiting!! |
