ok as far as i understand the situation......

Novarossi make the base castings/components etc for RB (to RB's own designs & spec) then all the engines are fitted & finished (assembled) at RB in France!

so in reality the are a Novarossi based engine unlike a Top or a Rex whaich is more of a rebranded Novarossi sold in whichever guise has license in that part of the world

well thats how i've always been told it was done & i've met Rody & Bernard from RB and spoken with them a few times :wink:

Well that surley clears up my confusion. Now what about the name Rossi? I notice it being thrown around whenever it comes to an engine. Just who are they ( M. Rossi, Axe Motor Rossi, Andrea Rossi of Sirio and Novarossi) . Are they all from the same Novarossi family but decided to just leave and create their own brand? Sorry for all the questions. :lol:

The XB8 is really starting to pile up a nice number of big wins all over the world. Would be great to see it do well at the U.S. buggy nationals this coming weekend but I don't think many team drivers will actually be there.

you asked about Rossi & Novarossi...............

well the Rossi brothers were making micro engines (micromotori) together since about 1960 Cesare Rossi went his own way & started Novarossi (roughly translated NewRossi) in about 1984 & his engines won their first World title in 1987 & have continued doing so ever since!

you can still buy Rossi engines & Novarossi engines & they are pretty different in their design & manufacture, Novarossi have a very good production facility & the quality of their productbacks this up :wink:

thats from memory so i could be slightly wrong on dates etc but thats how i was told about Rossi & Novarossi :wink:
