To be honest the XB8 needs very little in the way of upgraded parts, just make sure you apply the mods mentioned in this site, such as dremmeling the wishbones for more steering, etc.

You may need to get different inserts for toe-in, anti-squat etc, or maybe some different springs.

It is still a very competitive car, but obviously the 808 will ultimately be faster/easier, but it will always depend on who's driving

After all some are still doing well with the XB8R !

Get the 808 shocks (takes very little work to fit them), do the steering mod, and the down travel mod and you're good to go. If you take the time to do all of these it makes all the difference in the world. You can do the steering and down travel mod without buying anything.....just need a dremel and a little time. Now that I think about it I'd recommend the plastic rear brace too like the others said above. Gives the car more flex and makes it easier to drive.

I cant see the steering mod on that?

What would be the best "default" setup to use on the original XB8 that has the tad bigger XB8 shocks? IMHO the _original_ setup isn't the best one, especially on jumps. Track is medium-loose, small, quite slow and technical with a lot of jumps.
