I have been comparing Jason and Rocco's setups. I am a little confused because your diffs differ so much.

Jason seems to run the same 10000 20000 7000 exclusively. Is this CPS?

I followed this with Mugen oils last year when I built the truck.

Rocco has 5-5-3 cst as a base.

Are you using different brands of oil?

Andy I don't know what kind of track you drive on, but if the XRAY tires work on it, it is nothing like what we run on over here, haha, so as far as setups go, I don't know how well we could compare......

Yes, I do like a lot of steering and front end drive, every time somebody drives my truck they as me how I got it like that!

I race here We run all races wet and the traction is great. I have only tried the xray tires on practice with a dry track and they work ok. I'm the race director at this track so I seldom get to race on a wet track. I get alot of positive feedback about the traction with bowties and crimefighters though. The track is medium to large with alot of jumps and tight turns and 2 full straights.

I also race here They run club races wet to save tires but the traction is pretty poor. For thier larger events (region champs and Sweetwater Champs) they run the track dry and the tire of choice is panther switch. Any other tire doesnt last one 7 minute qual. Holy Sh*%, never had so much traction in my life. On a dry swept track with the panthers you wheelie on the straight away.

So, Is Jason's driving style more aggressive or what?

I guess I will just have to try both setups to see which suits me. What would you suggest?

Wanna come to Utah and tweak setups? LOL

When I built my truck when it first came out I had no idea what oils to start with so 10-20-7 is what I built it with. The truck was so good when I first put it on the track I have never changed or tried anything else so I could not imagine what Rocco's feels like.

I do like a aggressive truck but I was thinking of trying 7-10-5 to try and get a little more off power mid corner steering. Have any of you guys tried this? If so let me know.

Also since the new car has come out and with so many buggy races coming up I have pretty much ignored my truck so when I get a chance to try some different stuff (inwhich I'm planning) I will let you know what I find out.

I'd like to see Wheeler's setup from the Futaba race. You got any sheets Josh? I can't find any for the XT8.

James,

Glad you like the car, yours was pretty darn good. The motor break in was going terrible because the new motor was acting like the others on Sat. I found out that my pipe was broken because anytime I let off the gas the fuel lost pressure (and that was after going through 3 tanks and new fuel line on each) and the motor woud starve and die. I went and bought a new pipe and everything acted normal, even the two motors I thought were bad on Sat. Huge relief...lol

See you in Dallas
