XRAY - Model racing cars

I installed the 48T gear with a 13T clutch bell and 1.0 clutch springs on my TQ with the RB WS7II and I noticed that it takes away a lot of the top end power.
On a long straight the engine reaches maximum rpm at about 2/3 of the straight and the other buggies with stock spur gear pretty much outperform me.
Is this normal with the 48T?

Well it would almost be like running a 12T clutch bell as for every tooth on a clutch bell is about 3 on the spur.
Stock ratio: 3.5385
Yours: 3.6923

So at any given rpm when there is no tire spin and the clutch is not slipping, the tires on a stock car will be spinning a little more than 4% faster than yours...
So if you're at 35mph when you lift at the end of the straight, the stock car (in perfect conditions: no slipping of clutch or tires) will be going a little 2 mph more than your car, so the gear isn't making 'THAT' big of a difference. It should be down to tires, fuel, motor, tune of the motor and how you enter/exit the straight.

try a 14 bell and use a rb 2020 pipe with either a 198p 192p or 12p or 13p rb manifold u can gain in the revs with the use of the manifold 198 and 12p are top end as they are shorter

I am using an RB 2045 pipe with 198p manifold.
The way that Rocco described it, I should not have this much of a problem.
I am starting to think that something else might be the problem.
slipping clutch on not proberly tuned engine at the time I tried the 48T gear.
I think ill go ahead and put it back on the car and pay a closer attention to the setup and see.
