I use a Mugen Pro box for my XRay and it works great. So good that I have to share it with a couple of the Florida Team drivers at some of the races! Two 3300Mah batteries and some deans plugs and you should be good to go. Just make sure you aren't running a smallish flywheel (less than 35mm) or you may have trouble getting the box to engage the engine. The starter wheel does need to get replaced if you break in a lot of engines with it but I don't consider that a bad thing.
For Truggy racing I use an Ofna Chrome Top 10250 with a gel cell and it also kicks butt. Any engine I put in my CRT always turns over with that box. Charge lasts a long time. It is heavy compared to the Ofna box though.
