Hi folks I am having trouble with my steering when powering into a corner, Im suffering with understeer as when accelerating into the corner and turning, the wheels are turned but there is little turning and the car goes more straigt. I am running at a track called Maxbashing its very bumpy and very slippery link is The setup im running is as follows:

Maximum droop on arms by modifying the arms
Front roll centre is 0 deg on either end of the pin and linkage is on hole 1 on hub
Rear roll centre is on hole 1 on the tower and 3 on the hub
Front camber is 3 deg negative
Rear camber is 2 deg negative
Front kick-up is 5 deg
Front caster is 15 deg
Front toe is approx 2-3 deg toe out
Rear toe is 2 deg toe in
Rear anti-squat is 0 deg
Wheelbase is 0 spacers in front (shortest)
Anti-roll bars are stock
Diffs are 5k-5k-litium grease was 1k
Front shock positions are 3 on tower and 3 on arm
Rear shock positions are 8 on tower and 2 on arm
Front shock oil is 25w medial pro oil using 1.4 straight pistons
Rear shock oil is the same
Running light blue springs all round
Steering ackerman is on hole 1
Tyres are Vegas, Crime fighters and Scrapes and it does the same using all tyres.

Also played around on a grass track using angle spikes and still the same thing just cant work out whats wrong. Any info and feedback would be greatly appreciated :D .

Thanks

have you tried 2 down for the front arms? laying the caster back some may help, i know general rule is, 17 vs 22, 17 will give you more steering, but i believe it is at low speeds. i run 2 down and i cant believe how much steering i have, i did have a hyper 7 that did as you described... i never did get that feeling of having weight on the front wheels, youd turn and itd go straight. even at lower speeds.

most of you setup seems like you have it set for all the turn in you can get, sooo, i dont know your level of driving so dont be offended, but make sure ALL you braking is done before you even think about setting up for a turn.
or, maybe you are entering too fast... have someone at your track wheel your car around and see what they say.

Well, if you are losing traction anywhere on a track and witness your front wheels spinning, then mechanically you can do one or both of two things...

Heavier oil in Center diff
Rear Anti-Squat

On a slick track, run at least 1 degree of anti-squat, more if needed. Personally, I suggest putting much heavier oil in your center diff. I run 50,000WT Ofna oil and it really helps with forward/out of corner traction. I'll actually be changing to 100k on my next warmup for the Region 8 fuel race coming up.

Don't know your entire setup or track conditions, but these are my 2 cents. However, your description of the problem seems odd to me, and I would really check your rear diff for proper action.

Hi SuperXray thanks for your post. The track as said before is very bumpy dusty clay/mud with very little grip and lots of big jumps. I have thought of putting thicker oil in the centre around 30 000k but did not know if it would mess up the setup even more with using lighter oil in the front and rear. As said on the first post aswell it's currently set at o deg rear anti squat. Thanks again for for your help :D

Alot of other drivers I know run 30k in the center. Put it in and add 2 degree of antisquat to the rear (it only takes 5 minutes). You'll like the result.
