Hi, I've just bought 2 sets of the alu shocks for the 08/09 and assembled them as per the manual.. but i'm having horrible trouble setting the rebound for them. It seems that no matter how many times I repeat the process in the book, the rebound will always be near enough 100%, when I want nearer to 0% rebound. I've tried loads of different ways on the forums, but I'm having MORE trouble with setting the rebound for these shocks than I am for the plastic ones. Could someone please give me a simple way of setting the rebound without the trouble and time I've already put into this (not to mention how much oil I've wasted). Thanks |

You can drill a 1mm hole through the cap under the pivot ball (will exit near or in the middle of the cap) to achieve near 0 rebound which i think makes the car easier to set up and easier to drive.[/img] |

Is it a forgotten video making project?  Many xray guy locally still waiting for the video, before they decided to upgrade their shock. I got mine, but now is in the box nicely display iin the living room. Use back the stock shock that come with the kit.  Jilles Groskamp video does give an idea of how to build a shock, setup the car, servce the ball diff etc for a new comer. Happy waiting guys.
