XRAY - Model racing cars

Yeah, I think that is pretty much the pinion range with a 98t, though maybe 3 teeth higher (36t-48t). That's a good combination for 13.5t motors and slower.

I had the same problem to get my gearing right for the 17.5 Turns motor.
I needed a gearing lower than 3.9.

Possible solutions are, making the slot in the bulkhead a bit wider by using a dremel.. Then 35pinion on the 78Spur will fit.

The other solution i used is taking a spur from an other brand that fits.. For example Xenon. The only thing to do is sanding the plastic shimm down for 0.6-0.8mm and you need 3 spur screws that are 1mm longer.

Now i can reach the 3.1ratio by using a 72 spur. And maybe more if i have enough pinions.

Is there a possibility that Xray produces a smaller spur gear? like the 72 or so? Then problems will be fixed for all "slow" drivers

If you run 64p then you could get a 90 or 96 and have plenty of options. PRS makes both of those and they fit the Xray without any mods. Hope this helps.
