The summer is over and the weather is changing. Sadly my 808 will be sitting on the shelf over the winter except for a few big races I will travel for.

I will be going back to racing indoor carpet oval, the only thing available within a 2 hour drive. My wife decided she wanted to give it a try and did pretty darn good for her first time out last night. My dialed KSG gen 2 with top of the line electronics is now hers to run in the novice class. Gotta get the 10.5 out of there though, or I will be buying a new cars worth of parts in a few outings in novice .

Good news is I now have an excuse to buy a touring car to race in the same class with the guys I have been racing nitro buggy with all summer. I am dead set on a T2'009 foam spec after running the 808 '09 this year. It has been the most durable, easy to work on, and precise/ no slop offroad car I have ever owned.

Bad news is no one else has an Xray T2 and support is non existent at the track. Same for the 808 in the area, so I am used to that though. Been carrying an extra cars worth of parts I never used.

Now for the questions I have been not able to answer with the search function.

FYI, track is a 95' x 35' flat ozonite carpet oval with 10' lanes. Carpet needs to be stretched and there are some some areas it has bunched up making small bumps.

Spares - lots of info on search
Goal with spares is never to break something I cannot fix while at the track.
I will definitely get the following.
c-hubs
steering blocks
rear uprights
arms
screw kit

Spares I am unsure about
Belts? Any chance of these stripping? Worth purchasing?
No one seemed to mention servo horns?
Are any of the ball joints worth carrying? If so which ones?
Anything anyone else can think of?

Maintenance parts Same for all cars pretty much.
Shock rebuild parts
bearings
pinions and spurs

Hop up parts. This is where I am clueless.
Anyone recommend the chassis brace?
What about the aluminum roll center holders?
Ecs driveshafts, anyone using on oval/flat carpet tracks? Do they make much a difference?
Graphite motor guard seems useful.
Multi diff seems to be a nice tuning aid but hate to spend the money for this and not use it. Will likely wait on this and purchase only if I feel it will improve my corner speed after trying the stock diffs.

Tuning parts.
Usually buy spring sets, roll bars, and various shims. Anyone running a track similar to mine and could maybe keep me from purchasing all of them?

All my friends are running different brands and shore of tires depending on their brand of car and setup. Never seen people running so many different type of tires with good success as in this class. In the pan car classes everyone is running the same or very close to the same tires. RB and Jaco's are available locally so I prefer those, but not close minded to other brands. A starting point to tune from would be nice.

Electronics. Currently class is 19t spec brushed motor and 4600 NiMH batteries. I am trying to get people to go 2s lipo/brushless like the pan car classes, but a few people have said they would not race if they had to buy all new electronics.

Money is no concern on electronics, want the best.

Definitely will be using Spektrum radio and receiver. Own already.
Need new servo. Leaning toward Ko Propo pds 2413 unless someone has a better recommendation for servo
Not sure what the best brushed speedo is but I have a Tekin sitting around somewhere. Considering buying a new one, but unsure what to even buy for a brushed motor. Guess I could always use my Tekin RS pro on a brushed motor.

Motor is my biggest issue as I do not own any 19t. No idea what is best for the touring cars. Almost everyone is running Trinity Komodo Pro's because they are available at the track. Any motor recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Will likely buy several and tinker with them until I find a good one. FYI, lots of past experience with brushed, but will have to knock the dust off of my zapper, com lathe, dyno, etc. My motors are fast.

Ones I can find online are the following:
Reedy Challenger 19T Spec Motor
Multiple Trinity 19t specs including Komodo Pro
Integy Matrix V10.R19S EVO2-RED19 Racing Motor
Team Orion Element 19-Turn Spec V2 - leaning toward this one
There was great Team Checkpoint money motor but it was discontinued

Any advice on motor would be greatly appreciated if nothing else. Hard to find any information on these as most people are now running brushless.

Lots of questions. Thanks in advance.
