Post subject: | 008' handling issue: Loose rear |
Would like to seek help here for my 008' problem. The following link is my setup: xform/index.php?act=view&ID=1755&setup=t2_008 I ran at my local track with quite high track temperarture (> 50 deg C). As the temperature increases, my 008's rear end will get easier to swings out when entering the corner. I don't know if it sounds right or not: I feel that the car is too nervous to go into the corner and is being quite unstable. When existing the corner, the car is excellent and has lots of grip on all 4 tyres. I wonder if someone may give me advice to deal with this problem. Much thanks in advance! Cheers |

It sounds like your rear tires are over heating and losing grip coming into the corner. You could run stiffer front end to stop the car from dipping in to corner but you will get understeer or run higher tyres... 46 or adjust your rear shock to hole 4 instead of hole 2 I see you run .5 deg toe out... toe out increase oversteer and increase's steering at corner enrty but makes the car easy to drive.(Yet you say its already nervous and unstable) To decrease oversteer you need toe in but this will make the car steer less at corner entry, nervous to drive and difficult to drive. Not sure how to make the car easier to drive as the setup you have should make it easier to handle |
