i tried that once, but i got rear ended on the streight and the transopnder mount snapped in half and my transponder made it to the first corner before my car did, and it ended my race early

My FK balances perfectly left to right with no transponder, obviously if i hang the transponder on the mount next to the motor i will need weight to counterbalance it. I don't want to add weight, so has anyone ever mounted the transponder at the rear of the chassis behind the rear diff? The reason for this is that I need more rear end grip anyway and i thought it would help by having weight behind the rear axle. |

If the layshaft is hollow to lower center of gravity then a transponder would be a concern as well. Trickpatrick |

Why don't you try it and figure it out? Besides, a stock T1FK is way underweight to begin with, so you NEED to add weight. Plenty of talk about it, but it is smarter to try setups than leech off those who already have...it's a hobby.

better idea to put the transponder somewhere else.. What i did was to cut/say away a part of the upper front bumper, and from the foam, so it can fit in there.. Low placement, and safe from incidents. Or what might be even better, use a personal transponder, it's very handy, it's lightweigthed and it's small and easy to place without disturbing your perfect left-right balance |
