Note to Xray: Why isn't there T1 set-up sheets anymore? I could have created one, with all of this... |

The pivot ball T-1 was a great car. As far as I’m concerned this was the best TC XRay ever made – for sure it was what solidified their reputation. We raced it as our mod car from its original purchase in 2001 until last year when our team driver hung up the transmitter and went off to college. We converted it to C-hub a few years ago due to lack of parts support for the pivot ball suspension. I never liked the C-hub as much and for sure it was not as bullet proof. One season with the pivot ball we literally set up the car at the beginning, didn’t touch it for the entire season and when we put it back on the setup station for the next season, it had not changed at all. I only wish the NT1 was as good! Below is a link to a modifiable PDF setup sheet that I devised for the pivot ball T-1 from the readily available XRay file which I provided to XRay and teamgp for free distribution. It has a lot of the option pieces included but I may have missed some as it was devised for my own personal use. http://www.geocities.com/acquaba/RC/Xra ... _Sheet.pdf Note that the numbers in blue are manually entered while the numbers in red are calculated from the information that is entered and therefore are not meant to be manually changed. In case you’re interested, below is a table documenting the changes in the pivot ball front suspension. If you’re scrounging parts, it might be of some use as some of the parts are not interchangeable between the various models. X-Ray Front Suspension T1 T1 EVO2 T1 EVO2 FOC Lower Arm 302110 302111 (EVO2) 302111 (EVO2) Upper Arm – Rt 302130 302130 302131 (Short) Lt 302140 302140 302141 (Short) Steering Block – Rt 302210 302210 302211 (Wide) Lt 302220 302220 302221 (Wide) Hex Hub 305210 305210 305310 (22mm) 305215 (Steel) 305215 (Steel) 305315 (Steel) Drive Shaft 305220 305220 305320 (51mm) Pivot Ball Top 2.6mm 3.5mm 2.0mm Starting Bottom 3.5mm 6.0mm 2.0mm Adjustment Comments Second Choice DON’T USE First Choice Unfortunately the above didn't come out as a table, but it appears that all the information is there. |
