First of all I am sorry for my nick name. Tamiya was my first car so I use that nickname but I have been using XRAY since 2005. I have a problem with LiPo. Lipo doesn't fit to my T2 (2006 model) because of it's height. Bulkhead Rear Lower Right (303017)'s height is 20,7mm. I mean at the end of bulckhead there is a curve for Nimh to fit. This curve is a problem. But for LiPo, I need minimum 23,5mm. Would you please share your expreinces with me? |

Cut off the section of the bulkhead where it curves down so that it is flush with the underside of the top of the curve. A small grinder such as a Dremel will work, but be aware that aluminium doesn't grind very well and sticks to the surface of rtha grinding wheel. Hope that makes sense. Colin |

Colin, Thank you. I will try to it carefully so I don't want to break... Is there any special part designed for lipo? |

There's no special parts. I've taken a few quick pictures of my car that's been modified and described how I've used the battery holders to keep the pack in place. You can view it here: http://www.ketteringmcc.co.uk/Xtra_stuf ... o_mods.htm Hope that helps. Colin |

Above mods to the T2 are the way to go. I've got a pic of mine with the lipo installed. If your using the battery brace you may need to shim the posts so the brace is level and has no bow to it (this pic is before shimming). I've also done the trimming of the chassis braces to fit the pack. I used a dremel to do all the trimming, including the bulkhead. |

looks good! do you think the corner of the battery near the spur and pinion gear will stay out of contact and not move? |
