Hi all, I've noticed that the general consensus with damping on the 008/9 seems to be softer than on the 007 as a starting point. Is this because the shocks are shorter or is it some other reason ? For example, on carpet with a 007 quite a lot of people ended up around the 40wt mark, but with the 008 people seem to be using 350cst (30wt). Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers Chris |

Hi, I read this topic previous but I don't really have an answer but I can start a discussion on it! I too have noticed some different/strange damping characteristics with the 008/009... A Few guys at my local club run the Schumacher Mi3.5, they run Xray 2.6 and 2.8 Springs, with a 3 hole 1.1 piston and 50wt Shock oil (not sure what brand, maybe schumacher too?) Anyway my shocks I run 2.6 and 2.8 also with a 3 hole 1.1 piston and I run the kit 350 xray shock oil. I have tried stiffer damping but that made the car very unresponsive through technical direction changes as typically we run a very tight touring car circuit indoors. I hope this enlightens you on the matter but as I say, I can't really offer an answer! |

im still using my orignal t2 that won me the local 07 and 08 prostock champs here in Wellington, New Zealand. So i have no basis to comment on the new t2. I havent even seen one in the flesh, or graphite in this case Ed |
