Hi,

Yesterday a lot of cars were on the track, all gaz powered and the 1/10th were all using foam tyres, the best ones doing a lap in 22 seconds (my best was 34 seconds but I'm a novice).

The track is 360m long and someone told me the track is too long for my T2'07 and suggested me to move to another track.

I use Sorex 28, they do not wear that much, and I now ordered Sorex 20 to see if it will improve anything (I'll also install anti-roll bars).

I know it might be dificult to judge from remote but do you think this track is not suitable for 1/10th electric cars?

i think that a 360m track is big but not too big for the 1/10 electros

we race at Groningen and our track is a 1/5 track , it is 256m long and it is nice

are all the guys at your track driving nitro ?? if so maybe they are just trying to get rid of you ??

sorex 20s are a bit too soft i think , post your set up and maybe we can find a way of creating some grip from the chassis

i use Vtec30x tyres and the grip is really good

With the right setup and practice you should be similar times to the nitro's, they will always be faster on a straight but you should be quicker through the corners.

I love those big tracks. A modified electric car won't be much slower than 10th scale nitro, if it's slower at all.

But since you won't be able to control a modified car, you will have to practice. 12s off the pace on a 22s lap is usual for a novice.

The problem is, that the faster cars are a lot faster than you and they will lap you every other lap, so for the beginning it's better to practice on a smaller track, where there is less risk of highspeed crashes. Perhaps it helps if you do practice when there are not so many cars on the track.


With a few practice sessions you should be able to get laptimes under 30s and within one season you can get about 2 seconds behind the fastest guys.


Some tracks have days especially for beginners. And i can tell you it's a lot more fun to practice with people with similar cars and similar speeds. And you will learn faster.

Thank you guys for good feedback. It was first time for me to go on track with everyone and I felt it was much too early.

I can go there during the week when I'm almost the only one to drive, seems to be the best for now untill I make some progress.
