I have a factory kit. At my local club meeting on tuesday the rear belt started to slip. On closer inspection this was due to worn teeth on the layshaft pulley. I now have found out that this pulley is only available as part of a complete low ratio kit. Which in the UK cost about £25!!!! This is a joke. A pulley which costs next to nothing to produce will cost me £25 to keep my car running. On top of this the rear shock bottom ball joints were worn away by the inside of the wheel rims. These ball joints are also ONLY available as part of a complete shock kit. This shock kit costs £7 in the UK It is therefore going to cost me £32 to repair my car. THIS IS 10% OF THE COST OF A COMPLETE FACTORY KIT FOR TWO VERY SMALL PLASTIC PARTS. MARIO I AM NOT A HAPPY XRAY USER |

Wut's the possibility of another mfg making a ball end that will fit the Xray shock? Seems like if U know of one that is/uses the same size Ballstud, it would do in a pinch. |

would you be refering to the shock bottom mounts, in that case actually i use traxxas ones beacuse they are easier to thread!! and i use the inner arm hole with no problem i use violet front springs and blue rears, also run foam tires on carpet so idk what you guys run, my car is so easy to set up, i must have 5 different set ups that i like. got to love xray for there tunability, and ease too, oh and the horsepower is nice too, he hehe. |
