Post subject: | Weight Balance Front/Rear |
Hi, Could someone tell me what would be the best front/rear weightbalance ? 50 Front/50 Rear, 40 Front/60 Rear ... I want to add weights to the car, in order to balance it out over the length axis, but should it also be balanced out in the width axis ? Thanks. |

Hi, The car should be balanced side to side. I think front to rear is a matter of personal preference... I added 20g to the rear weight mounting points on my '007 because I was finding it loose. Are you adding weight for Li-po's? |

Hi Mr T. I am currently racing a T1FK. I had a frame made to fit LIPO saddle packs. This frame will hold the LIPOs. One lipo (Servo side) will we placed were the old cells went, but the other one is slided towards the front, so I can fit my ESC in between the motor and the Lipo pack, thus having a small high current loop, to avoid interference with the receiver (taped onto the servo). ------------------------------ - **** ******* ****** - - * M * * ESC * * LIPO * - - * O * ******* ****** ----- - * T * - * O * ******* ****** ----- - * R * * LIPO * * SER * - - **** ******* ****** - ----------------------------- As you can see, the weight balance is off, compared to the old cell setup, where the heavy cells were near the back of the car. Hope the drawing sheds some light on my setup. I was hoping on someone to tell me where the weight center is located on their car, near the front or back, so I can add adequate weights to correct the offset. Thx |

Hi, I have set my balance point at the midway point between the front and rear axles. So with a 260mm wheelbase the balance point is 130mm from each axle. This set-up works for me. I hope this helps. |
