Hi, I have recently bought an 'as new' T2 '007 for my second season of TC racing... Last season I ran a Mi2 with a ball diff up front. The '007 is by far the most popular car at my club! My car is set up 'by the book' for carpet racing on rubber tyres. I run a 13.5 brushless and Lipo's with the car weighted to 1500g. The car is running control tyres (Sorex 24). However... I am finding it hard to drive, with two main issues: 1). Tailsliding. If I keep the power on through the bends the car is fairly stable, but when I forget and let off the throttle the car tailslides badly. I know that some of this is because of the one-way and I need to learn a new driving style.... But I would like to lessen the difference between power on and power off when cornering. The problem is mainly when entering a 90 degree (or more) bend at the end of a straight. I let a fellow XRay owner try my car and he found it 'floaty'. 2). Nervousness. The car feels very nervous on the straights and I seem to be constantly correcting it with the steering, although the car will run true when going more slowly. I have read the set-up book and also read many posts on this forum from people with similar issues, but.... Would like the difinitive answer, if poss. The XRay seems to be a very nicely built car and I don't really want to go back to my Mi2, even though I was quicker with it! Thanks. 2). |

For the second issue, try increasing front toe out. I can't help with the first one, as I've never ran a oneway. |

If you still want to use the one-way, try using XRAY 1000cst in the front shocks and 600cst in the rear shocks with all piston holes open in all four shocks. |
