XRAY - Model racing cars

hay guys

I have just bought a new xray t1 r, I know that it´s not a top model but, I want to treat the car with a bl system. I don´t want a rocket system but one that will just keep up with a regular 27t motor, a littel more power is also ok. can any of you suggest what system I should buy?

thanks yellowshark, I can see were you are comming from on this. I used to race1/10 turing cars back when xray came out with the t1 model and know that if I want to race it I should make sure that I meet the rules in the class I want to race. well here in denmark the only class were bl are allowed is modifyed class but I don´t want to race that.

Actualy I´m not going to compeet in any classes with this old car, I´m only gona go to my local track to do some fun racing with the guys that normaly race it the 7.2 v stock class( they run 27t brushed motors) I´m just looking for a bl setup that will give me about the same performance as a 27t brushed motor or maby a littel tad more. I want to put bl in the car to get longer run time.

is ther a conversion tabel that i can find were bl motor turns are comparet to brushed motor turns fx: bl 5,5= 12x1 brushed I know this exampel probaly is not right but I think it explains what I mean

OK . In the UK it is a bit of a mix/mess Some clubs run 13.5 as "compatible" some don't. The national body ducked the subject last winter. Recently our club - which considers 13.5 not to be compatible with 27T - has been testing 17.5s. These clearly are very close to 27T. Considered view after 2 months is that they are equal but an expert/well tuned 27T would have the edge.

If you are running on tight circuit then a good 27T will give a 13.5 a run but on a wide open circuit, long straight or 2, the 27T will get hammered.

All other things being equal

LRP/Nosram/Novak/Speed Passion seem to be the leaders here in the UK. I would suggest you buy a brand that has a distributer in Denmark so your shop has support. I know people here are buying direct from the States but clearly from reports these things can go bang and it is easier to get your money back from someone in your country!!
