Before doing the bleeding process, makes sure you measure how far the rod end sticks out. Then during bleeding (after sitting the shock upside down & unscrewing the end cap), let the shock sit for 3-15 minutes (depending on shock oil weight) and keep measuring it until it goes down 3 to 4 mm (instead of the 1 to 2 it says in the book). Make sure you bleed each left/right pair as close to the same amount as possible. I bleed mine for 3mm and the bounce is significantly reduced. Once I've gone a couple of runs with my car, the shocks will bleed out the remaining pressure through the o-rings without letting air in. Some people think they are leaking, but if your o-rings are good, then they are not. Its just a simple matter of releasing pressure... ...woooosaaaaahhhhhhh... ...there, I feel better after letting out my own pressure... ![]() |
