woogie, both questions 1 and 2 are answered explicitly in the manual. You have the manual, right? The graphite grease is for the CVD joint. You use CA (cyanoacrylate) glue, preferably thin, on the edges of the lower chassis plate. The manual highlights the edges you need to apply the glue to in red. |

Woogie, when applying the CA glue to the chassis, just take it slowly until you get get the hang of it. Apply a small bead and you will see it will travel along the surface. The worst that can happen is that you get some unsightly glue on the chassis surface The Xray Instruction manual is superb; again just take it slowly - don't get excited and rush it!! - and read the manual carefully at each point. Everything fits nicely; if it does not you have probably made a mistake. Be careful when building that you pick up the points for the EU model not the US model, rush and it is easy to make a mistake on this point. If you are using rubber on asphalt, get the setup sheet from the teamxray.com website. No doubt an Xray guy will correct me if I am wrong but I am sure the kit setup sheet, at least in the earlier kits, is not quite the same as the sheet posted to the website and the latter is correct. Enjoy! |
