In 2001 I got the fantastic opportunity to become one of the first team drivers for a young upstart RC car company called XRay. It has been a blast! However all good things come to an end and this one is no exception.
The past two years the duties of a sponsored driver started to feel to much like work and not enough like the fun I used to have. So, as I want my hobby back, I will be leaving the team and will continue racing (possibly until I drop
) as a privateer again starting next month. For those that think "yeah right, per April 1st" I have to disappoint you. This is not an April fools joke.
I would like to thank the Hudy family for the chance they gave me and for supporting me for such a long time. It's been a privilige to be part of the team and helping establish the XRay brand. I also want to thank everyone at the XRay factory en my team mates, both past and present, for all the hard work and support.
And finally I want to thank all of you! Being a forum moderator is hard work and it is often difficult to on the one hand provide an open atmosphere where contructive discussions can be held and criticisms voiced while on the other ensuring things don't go "negative". You've made that job easy.
