OK, potential dumb question of the month coming up. How do you know, ie I mean what is that you feel/hear that makes one recognise this. Is it shiny outdrives only? I have never looked for this. I check the diff action quite regulalry, normally in the car and if it feels smooth and the tightness I want I leave it alone. If the diff rings were slipping would there be any feeling of tightness when checking the diff? |

Mostly the differences are the result of the way the diff is built, diff tightness, driving style and the type of track normally raced on. Also a factor is how often the diff is rebuilt. |

The best but most expensive option is of course to superglue the rings to the outdrives. If not then just clean them and the put on a small quantity of diff grease which will hold the rings in place. |
